Leadership
Dan Bowman, Founder
Founder & CEO
Dan Bowman is the founder and chief executive of Earth Construct Zone. He remains the named authority on contract, design review, and project release.
With more than four decades in construction, he started Earth Construct Zone in 1990. His earlier years in the field formed the working method he still uses: stay close to the drawings, stay close to the client, and keep the promise that was written into the bid.
He earned a Bachelor of Science from Texas A&M University and a Master’s degree from UCLA. That mix of technical training and strategic study is how he approaches complex packages — structure, schedule, and owner constraints in the same conversation.
His leadership style is hands-on. He emphasizes direct involvement in projects, durable relationships with clients and trade partners, and a culture of collaboration and transparent communication. Every job, regardless of scale, is expected to receive the same level of attention.

How the office is led
Earth Construct Zone is founder-led. There is no imported board list and no borrowed executive portraits. Day-to-day delivery is handled by Earth Construct Zone superintendents and engineers reporting to the principal.
Under Bowman’s direction the firm has grown from a local Alameda practice into a larger organization while keeping the accessibility of a local office. Core values remain innovation, integrity, and sustainability — including safer assemblies, workforce standards, community programs, and resilient structures.
Owners who need a technical conversation can request time with Mr. Bowman through the Alameda office. Bid questions, insurance, and contract notices go to info@earthconstructzone.com.
